Parfitt Kids

Last week we had someone come to talk to us about breaking a Guinness World Record, raising money for Parfitt Kids. Parfitt Kids supply basically every child admitted to Grey Base Hospital with a gift pack. Each gift pack is age appropriate and is aimed to help reduce stress and anxiety for children undergoing treatments out of their familiar environments. So on Friday the 26th of February we are joining with many others to attempt to break the Guinness World Record of high fives. We need to beat the current record of 1649 people performing a chain reaction of high fives.

  2. Hi Room Six,
It's amazing that in this day and age we are able to work with the community around us to do awesome things for other people.
The kids in the photo look so happy and it's really cool that you are able to make more people happy like in the photo.
What was the outcome of the "High five day"? How many high fives did you get? And did you raise any money? If so how much did you raise?
I hope to see more awesome work through out the year and I hope we will be able to work together as two schools in the future.

  5. Hi Room Six,
It's really cool that you guys are trying to do this for charity and that it's not too selfish. I really like the idea of raising money to give to people who will get gifts for children in hospital. Maybe we can have a go at this to!

  11. Hi Everyone

Great positive comments and feedback. We do not have the results for the day as yet but we will update you when we get them. As a class we think we raised approximately $250 and as a school we raised a whole lot more. We will keep you posted on the results of the day when we get them.
